July 1, 2006: I back into getting my web-site updated after a lot of time being unable to get into the site due to computer problems which were numerous. I now have done one competition of the 2006 season and placed 1st in the Long and the Short which was at the Orange County Open in Yorba Linda, CA. My next competition is a little over a week away in Pennsylvania at the Liberty competition which has 8 or 9 groups of Intermediate Ladies with 19 girls in each group. WISH ME LUCK on this one, I will need it!! :)
It's good to be back and in the competition season and it is good to be back getting on my website again. I want to apologize to everyone fro not being able to update my site like I have wanted to in the past months.

August 21, 2005: I am looking so forward to Golden West in Culver City, CA. in about 8 days. My foot is now just about completely healed and I have unlearned a bad habit that I learned! "Bad Katlynn"  :)
Anyway, I feel stronger and better than I have felt all year and I am ready to go to Golden West and have a lot of fun. I will be traveling with a friend of mine from the rink, so I will have someone to also cheer on as she skates Open Juvenile for probably the last time before she moves up to Intermediate for next year!
Well, it is that time of year when I have to get back to doing school work again, this year I am trying a new home school program that is actually a Public School that is geared to home schooling - I am very excited about it! I will let everyone know more as I progress in the year.
I wanted to just take a few moments and thank everyone that has supported me thru the year, you are incredible people and I appreciate all of the support that has been given to me in so many various ways. THANK YOU!!!

July 26, 2005: It has been a while since I have added to my Journal, Sorry!
This has been a very good year for me so far, I have met so many really great skaters and had some fun at a bunch of events so far. My most valuable experience so far has been at the Liberty Competition in Philadelphia, PA. where I got to work with Barbara Roles and skate at the University of Delaware where I met Kimmie Meissner and Timothy Goebels. During the Liberty competition I also had the pleasure of meeting Emily Hughes and her Coach who were also staying at our Hotel. She was so sweet and her Coach was also really cool. I got to meet so many of the kids that I have met over the past 4 or 5 years at Liberty too and that was awesome to see how everyone has gotten so much better each year. Congratulations everyone!
I also had a great skate in Liberty winning both my Qualifying round and Final round with straight 1's from all of the Judges in both events. I then returned to Scottsdale where I skated at the Cactus Classic event and again received straight 1's in my Freeskate event - WOW WOW WOW, I was so excited. I am looking forward to meeting all of my friends from Las Vegas and California at the next 3 competitions this year. Good luck to everyone and see you soon!

February 17, 2005: I found out that I was highlighted on the USFS Main Web-site page today for winning First Place in the Future Champions Series, that was really cool - I received soooo many e-mails from everyone around the Country congratulating me and had so many nice words to say! If I have not got back to you yet, it's because I have so many e-mails to answer. I will write back soon!! Thanks everyone.

February 03, 2005: I am traveling down to Tucson, Arizona today to skate at the rink there. I have several friends that are going to meet me there to skate also. It should be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to it.

January 9, 2005: I just got back from Ice Den after passing my NOVICE MOVES IN THE FIELD test this morning, "YEAH"! I now get to start on my Junior Moves In The Field and then after that my Senior Moves. I look forward to both. My test today I felt very good and strong about, It felt great! The Judges had some very kind words to say about my moves and I very much appreciated all of the comments they had to say! Well, today is the beginning of the 2005 Nationals in Portland, Oregon and I wish we were there, but things came up and we could not make it. I am really hoping that all of the skaters from the Ice Den and the Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona do great - if they skate like they did the last week before Nationals, they will all come home with medals. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

November 16, 2004:  I just found out today that I won the USFS FUTURE CHAMPION SERIES for the Pacific Coast Region, but they did not recognize me on the web-site yet as they made an error and did not credit me with my Golden West Competition. I am very excited about the win. I will be recognized on the USFS Web-Site and I will have my Bio in the SKATING Magazine as well as on line with the USFS.
Lots has been going on since I last wrote in here. I am working on my Triple jumps now, I had a great performance at the 2005 Regionals in California and now the Future Champions series Champ! COOL! I am really looking forward to next year when we have Regionals at my home rink in Scottsdale, AZ. It will be nice to come sleep in my own bed at night! Thanks to everybody that have supported me throughout the year, I hope to give you another year of fun and excitement!

August 26, 2004:  It has been a while since I have written anything new in here, but with all of the recent changes that have taken place over the past Month, I really have been busy. I am training very hard for the upcoming Golden West Competition in Culver City, CA. I am pretty sure that I have got my Double Axel back now and it is pretty big and very clean now. I have been working a lot at putting a lot of emotion into my programs also. i really hope that I have a great skate in California. I skate Thursday and hopefully in final rounds on Sunday. I probably will go to Disneyland on Friday after practicing at HEALTHSOUTH where Frank Carroll coaches. I will try to write more after I get back into town. Next is Regionals in Burbank, CA. I am ready!!

July 20, 2004:  Okay, the joke is over - the weatherman can let the heat go away now!!!!
It has been so hot here in Phoenix lately and to make matters worse, our electric company is asking everyone to turn up there air conditioners due to some pretty bad fires at electric stations. We are doing our best to help by turning ours up too! I wanted to go swimming today, but it was to hot!!! Cactus Classic in Scottsdale is this weekend and I am really looking forward to that event, it should be fun to be at home again and not traveling. I have had some really good practices this week and hope that it pays off in competition with my Double-Axel/Double Toe Combo and then my Double-Axel followed by my Double Double Double Combo! I look forward to seeing a lot of people at the rink and hope that you will be one of them. See you then!

July 02, 2004:  Two more days until the 4th of July! I am going swimming today with my friend Lindsey who lives across the street from me. We are going to have a lot of fun as I don't have to skate for two days over the weekend. Its hot today, supposed to be 105 degrees in Phoenix. Okay, got to run and have some fun!

June 28, 2004: We just got home from two weeks of skating competitions and lots and lots of traveling. I have gone from Arizona to Georgia then on to Alabama, back to Arizona. Turned around in about 12 hours and drove from Arizona to Colorado, then drove back thru the Rocky Mountains where we saw lots and lots of snow. Its the end of June and we were in a major snow storm just 100 miles West of Colorado Springs, CO. I went to telluride, CO. where we shopped a little and took the free Gondola  ride up and down the mountain. We then drove to Blanding, Utah where we visited my Step-Grandpa 's grave site along with many other family members that have died. After having dinner in Blanding, we drove to the Four Corners where I stood in 4 states (Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico) all at the same time. Pretty cool!
Anyway, after all of this competing and traveling I am very tired and am taking today off from skating. Just sitting around doing nothing!! I felt as though I did a really good job skating in both Atlanta and Colorado Springs, it was fun and I met sooooo many new friends. They were great in both cities and I hope I see everyone of them again soon!

June 11, 2004: Today was another great day, I landed 10 great double-axels and they really did look good. I am so excited. I am so excited that I got my double axel back before going to Atlanta and Colorado Springs. I had such a great day, but it was also a sad day because they buried one of our great President's today. Ronald Reagan was a great President from what my Dad told me! Rest in peace President Reagan~

June 9, 2004: Today was a really great day, I landed my double axel several times on the ice. It was great because I have really been fighting for the past several months to try and keep my double axel. I will try to keep this updated the best that I can and keep all informed of what I am doing. Next week we leave for Atlanta! Then Colorado Springs.
